Lycian Coast: Where Mountains Meet the Mediterranean
The Lycian coast between Antalya and Fethiye is arguably the most beautiful stretch of Mediterranean coastline in the world. Dramatic mountains plunge into turquoise seas, ancient Lycian rock tombs dot the cliffsides, and pristine beaches remain largely unspoiled.
Key Filming Locations
Oludeniz (Blue Lagoon)
Consistently rated one of the world's most beautiful beaches. The sheltered lagoon with its impossibly blue water is also Turkey's top paragliding destination, offering stunning aerial filming opportunities from Babadag mountain.
Kas
A charming fishing village turned bohemian haven. Ancient Lycian sarcophagi sit among cobblestone streets lined with bougainvillea. The underwater visibility makes it excellent for diving and underwater filming.
Patara Beach
Turkey's longest beach at 18 km, backed by ancient Lycian ruins and sand dunes. As a protected sea turtle nesting site, it remains beautifully undeveloped.
Saklikent Gorge
A dramatic 300-meter deep gorge with ice-cold water flowing through narrow canyon walls. Provides spectacular natural set pieces.
